We need you for the following research projects. These projects are suitable for internships, university IAP projectsand many will lead to PhD projects supported by our elite national sporting bodies. • Cricket Shot analysis
Development of an instrumented cricket bat to aid in performance assessment of cricket players (with Dr.A.Busch)
• Swimming performance assessment
A variety of techniques are used to measure swimmer velocity, this project woul dbe do to a comparative assessment of them.
• Skill Assessment in elite sports (e.g.Martial Arts, Soccer)
What makes skilled Athletes. Using airbag sensors (accelerometers) we find out.
• Golf Swing Analysis
Develop instrumentation and processing techniques for analysing the swing characteristics of bats, racquets and clubs. You will need demonstrated instrumentation and microprocessor skills.
